Central Vermont is truly a four-season destination.
Winter (December-March): Prime ski season at Pico and Killington
Spring (April-May): Quieter trails, maple sugaring season
Summer (June-August): Hiking, mountain biking, swimming holes, festivals
Fall (Late September-October): Harvest festivals, peak foliage typically early-mid October; book early!

Yes! Pico Mountain is just 0.2 miles from the house where trail access begins. Perfect for morning hikes and fall foliage walks without driving anywhere. Alpine Drive, where the house is located, is also a great road to walk up and connects to additional hiking trails on Pico Mountain.
There are countless other beautiful hikes in the area. Just ask and we’ll be happy to provide more information.

Went with a few friends for the new year - we loved and trying to plan again for next year! Place was nice, clean, and fit a lot of people easily. Carrie was a great host! Would recommend to anyone visiting. Also close to PICO. We didn’t go but would be super easy to try out next time around!

Carrie’s home was great for our large group. The pictures and description were exactly as described. The house is so close to Pico you can actually walk to the mountain. The house had plenty of dishes and everything you need to cook for large groups. The outdoor fire pit was a nice touch. Playroom was great and the downstairs area though basic was great for the kids. Would stay again.
